quick & easy transaction. the only thing i would comment on is delivery - a phone call the day before would be useful as was only given a estimated 3-5 working day delivery which meant i had to ask someone to be here for 4 days to wait for delivery.

I think you need to put on the advert in BOLD that free delivery is not always the case. It was not until the email was received regarding the delivery details it stated extra charges would apply if I was not in. This is not what I was expecting at all. Anyway it did annoy me, as would have preferred to had paid all fees in advance. luckily I was at home and delivery was made next day. Which IMHO is far better than all the hassle I previously went through buying a supposedly 'Trade' ladder at much more cost than anywhere else from B&Q when Iater found out it was not a trade ladder technically after all. i have already recommended you to others. There was somewhere else cheaper but I would of had to of waiited 7 days for delivery instead of free delivery the next day, which at the time was very important for me. Thanks.

The ladders were left on site with some damage to one - three rungs and the cross brace were bent. No member of staff took the delivery there was no signature on the delivery note. The ladder is useable and safe.

Brown's who sold me the goods were helpful and polite when I spoke to them, although before I placed the order I asked if the ladders came with a brake/latch to stop the 3-section ladders sliding out during carring/transit (in addition to the hooks which hold up the sections at the bottom of each section when extended), which I was assured they did, however, the ladders which were delivered didn't have the brake/latch as I was told they would have.
I was assured delivery would be on the friday, so I took a day off work to receive the goods. The goods didn't turn up, and no-one called from Brown's or their courier TNT to say that they wouldn't be coming. I called Brown's late of friday afternoon, and they couldn't tell me where or when the goods would be delivered.
Despite leaving instructions to leave the goods to the rear of my house on whichever day they would turn up (I couldn't afford to take another day off work on the promise that they may or may not deliver on an alternative day), TNT eventually called to say no-one was at home and they were taking the goods back to their depot (despite that I had previously made it clear to Brown's to instruct their courier to deliver to the rear of house if I was out). Only after intervention by myself direct with TNT were the goods delivered as I had requested.
Despite the appalling delivery service - yes, the weather has been bad, but Brown's and TNT could have contacted me and told me they the good's were delayed and would be delivered until another day (both had my mobile number), and the fact that my instructions to leave the goods to the rear of my house if I was out were clearly a waste of my breath and were ignored - then I have pleasure in saying that the ladders look good quality, although I am bitterly disappointed that the brake/latch as described above was not a feature of the ladders I had been sold despite being told by Brown's it was.

Very efficient indeed. My only problem was that the ladder was a bit heavier and bulkier than I expected, so it doesn't fit in my tiny hall cupboard - and the idea of packing it all up and returning it was too daunting ... so I am left with something not quite as I wanted it. However, I have no complaint to make about your service, and the ladder is clearly of good quality. I do realise that buying over the Internet does have its disadvantages ... Would a follow-up, pick-up service, at a cost, be too much to ask? Again, I realise it may be prohibitively expensive.

I was very pleased with the way you treat my order.
I was a little surprised though that the ladder came all the way from Wales without any packing! There is only a small dint on it and it appears to be O.K. ,although I have nnt used it yet because of the terrible weather we are having.

Problem free transaction. Ordered on a Saturday and delivered Wednesday despite the bad weather (heavy snow and ice).

Nightmare to register: couldn't find where to do it initially, took a long time to access it. Have tried to access my account since and can't get back in. Registration needs to be made simpler. Would prefer invoice sent with order or e-mailed immediately not two weeks later.
