Hello from the Ola Gorie team. Re. the posting on the 13th re. postage charges: we're sorry you feel this way. Over the years we have found that using well-packaged, insured, signed-for delivery is worth the few pounds extra cost, as it ensures that orders arrive safely and in good condition. We could, I suppose, 'hide' the cost of the postage by rolling it up into the cost of our jewellery, but we prefer to be open about this and just explain that that is how much it costs to post jewellery safely from Orkney. Of course, if we can ever find a cheaper way that is equally as safe and dependable, we will happily change over! Thanks again for your comment.

Delighted with your service particularly as the piece ordered (by mail) was not in stock. It was required for a birthday present for my wife.You sent me an e-mail explaining the position; I replied advising date by which required and you undertook to supply by that date. It was delivered to my daughter's address, as required, to maintain secrecy and surpise for my wife. She is delighted with it - Kells brooch - and so am I. It has been seen by others in the family/friends and much admired. Thank you for your attention and help.

I always have concerns when making more expensive purchases online - however a personal email from an actual person regarding delivery options (some pieces were available immediately others are being made) really filled me with confidence. And my jewellery arrived safe and sound much sooner than expected - I have no doubts about buying online from Ola Gorie in the future. :-)

plenty to choose from. Very rapid service, especially since you are in the Orknies I am totally pleased with the gold necklace I chose and am wearing it now! I have 4 other necklaces in Silver which I love to wear.

I have purchased several "Finnish Beast" rings as gifts for my daughters and female relatives. All rings are perfect--we are of Finnish descent, and now have a way to celebrate our ancestry, sisterhood and heritage. The ring never fails to elicit questions and compliments from strangers.

Hello from Ola Gorie. Re. post of 10th May: sorry you found the photos hard to see. Maybe there was a glitch as you suggest, because they look fine now. The ones on the home page are quite low resolution so they load quickly - click on them to get much clearer, bigger pics. Re. post of 11th May: very sorry you have had this experience, which as you can see from other comments is far from the norm. We are here Monday to Friday and usually answer emails on the same day. We have been doing a lot of staff training lately, so maybe your enquiry slipped by us, for which we can apologise and say that is a very very rare experience. Contacting before and after purchase was very difficult, previously when I have bought the phone has been answered. This time I have waited over a week for a telephone response, my friend had no response to an email enquiry before purchase and generally it was very bad customer service. I have just sent an email so hopefully I will get a response to that.

sorry - have never bought from you but thought I would let you know that i have just been on your website and can't see any of the pictures of items as they were so badly blurred, maybe its just a glitch but thought I would let you know as there is no way you could select a product using these pictures,
